Sita Sings the Blues Notes A

0-10 minutes:
Lakshmi rises from the sea and begins playing music while dancing. Some in space gods are introduced. In San Francisco a hungry cat wakes a couple. The male get offered a job in India. The narrators discuss the story's names and dates. Dasharatha banish's Rama for fourteen years by order of Queen Kaikeyi. 

10-20 minutes:
Dasharatha dies soon after possibly due to his shame of banishing Rama. Sita follows Rama into exile against his original wishes. They seem to have a merry time together. Dave leaves San Francisco for a six month contract. Ravana evil king who captures Sita. The narrators argue Ravana is not such a bad guy. He was the king of Sri Lanka. Surpanakha is Ravana's sister who tell his brother about Sita. This Ravana makes want Sita and tell Maricha to become a golden deer. This will distract Rama long enough for Ravana to kidnap Sita. Sita tell Rama to hunt the deer. Sita sing about how much she loves Rama, while Ravana sneaks closer to her.

20-30 minutes:
Ravana abducts Sita and flies away in a chariot. Rama is heart broken and follows the jewelry Sita dropped. Hanuman is an incarnation of  Shiva and purpose was to help Rama. Rama and Hanuman become friends unreasonably quick. Hanuman goes to look for Sita at the request of Rama. Dave invites Nina to India after a month of no contact, and his contract is extended. Sita is sad about her capture and rejects Ravana demands. Sita states they she could blast him with her power. Hanuman finds Sita in Lanka and sets Lanka on fire as he returns to Rama. 

30-40 minutes:
The narrators talk about why Sita didn't go with Hanuman. Nina goes to India. The narrators discuss if the monkeys were full or half monkeys.  Rama order Hanuman to gathers the armies and march to Lanka. The battle of Rama and Ravana is sung by Sita. Dave is withdraw from his relationship with Nina, she feels awful. Rama was cold to Sita after saving her from Ravana. This is because she lived in another man house and his unfit to be Rama's wife. Sita is unset. Sita asked to build a fire. The narrators discuss Sita purity and Ravana lack of rape. 

40-48 minutes:
Sita sings as she goes into the fire and his protected by the fire god Agni. Rama ashamed for doubting his wife and asks for forgiveness. Nina and Dave are working side by side. Nina goes to New York for a business trip. The narrators discuss the flying chariot and how cool they are. Sita and Rama return to Ayodhya. Sita sings as they return.
