ENCOUNTERS IN EXILE:
Rama journeys deeper into the forest to prevent people from persuading him to return home early. Lakshmana had even build a beautiful hut that they had to leave. Rama met several sages early in his journey, a wife of one even gave Sita all her jewelry and clothing. Jatayu, a friend of Dasaratha, welcomed Rama as a foster child. Once they reached Panchvati, Rama reminds himself of his goal to kill the asuras. One of the sage had also prepared a home for them.

Rama met a beautiful women, named Kamavalli, who is Ravana's sister. She who has rejected Ravana's evil-ways want to merry Rama. Rama tries to deny her nicely. Sita then apprears and say Kamavilli is a demon. She is correct and Kamavilli to into a demon whose real name is Soorpanaka. Soorpanaka angered by Rama rejection of her decides to kill Sita. Lakshmana stopped this attack and cut off her nose, ears, and breasts. Lakshmana tells Rama that her brother will sent his kinsmen, Rama does not care. Shurpanakha returns home and talks to step-brother, Kara. He attacks Rama with his forces, but is defeated. Shurpanakha then flees to Lanka to request help from her brother Ravana.

THE GRAND TORMENTOR:
Ravana calmly said Shurpanakha who had hurt her. She told him about Rama. However she lied about how she provoked Rama. She to Ravana they she was trying to steal Sita for him. After Shurpanakha had described Sita, he wasted her for himself. Ravana changed the weather as he commanded it to. Ravana is going a little love crazy. He care about his uncle, Mareecha, warnings about Rama. Maricha reluctantly accepts Ravana demand to capture Sita. He turns himself into a golden deer to capture Sita attention. Sita then asked Rama to catch the deer. Rama accepts her demand and goes hunt the deer. Lakshmana, who was left in charge of gaurding Sita, heard Mareecha dying voice, which sounded like Rama. Lakshmana was ordered by Sita to find his brother.

Ravana then turns himself into an old man to get close to Sita. They began to talk and Ravana is angered at her comments. Sita tells Ravana that Rama will kill him. Jatayu attempts to stop Ravana, but dies in the process. Ravana then flies away with Sita.
