(Too many notification: Makeuseof)
I personally do not care for the canvas notifications and just prefer email. My email linked to my computer. When I receive an email on my school account, I will likely see it right away. Then when logging into canvas the same message will be there as well. The canvas notifications may be more useful for professors however.
