The Monkey and the Crocodile by Marie L. Shedlock
The plot is straightforward. The crocodile is a decent husband as he tries to fulfill request of his wife to eat the heart of the monkey king. The crocodile's plan is clever, he will convince the monkey to ride on his back to reach a mango tree. This is allow the crocodile a chance to drown the money. However, the monkey king is even more clever. He conveniences the crocodile that his heart is in a fig tree surrounded by fruit. The crocodile failed his plan and feels nothing but misery.
