I am writing about Maha Shivaratri for my project. It honors the god Shiva and means  "the Great Night of Shiva".

Shaivism is a tradition within Hinduism that worships Shiva. They are called "Shaivites" or "Saivites".

Brahman is a major school of Hindu philosophy. It concerns of the ultimate reality of the universe. 


Vedic Sanskrit is an Indo-European language. This is the language of many ancient Hindu texts.
