The point of this article is to show that over celebration can make the person being praised feel they are better than they actually are. Often praise is given out easily with the bar set too low, which makes it practically worthless.

Too much praise can cause children to under perform. This can also be true of adults. People often try blaming anything other than themselves when they fail. The best way to help them is through thoughts and attention. Knowing that someone is interested in your project can help you want to do better.
